(7) Once the spark plug is installed, tighten with the spark plug wrench to compress the washer.
Tighten 1/8 to 1/2 turn to compress the washer.
(8) Reposition the cap (2) on the spark plug (3).
(9) Refit the spark plug maintenance cover (1).
Note: A loose spark plug overheats and can damage the engine. A spark plug that is too tight can
damage the thread of the orifice.

6.2.4- Spark arrestor maintenance (Fig. 24)
Allow the engine to cool before servicing the suppressor.
(1) Unscrew the cover screws (2).
(2) Withdraw the spark arrestor (1).
(3) Use a brush to remove carbon deposits from sieves A and B.
(4) Inspect the sieve A for breaks or tears and replace if necessary.
(5) Reposition the spark arrestor (1) and the cover (2).
