    HARD WIRING CONNECTION It is necessary to hard wire this appliance. Permanently framing the appliance with an enclosure, requires the appliance junction box to be hard wired. This appliance must be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes.     9.0 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS When lit for the fi rst time, the appliance will emit a slight odour for a few hours. This is a normal temporary con- dition caused by the “burn-in” of internal paints and lubricants used in the manufacturing process and will not occur again.

Opening the air shutter will cause a more blue flame, but can cause flame lifting from the burner ports.

    11.6 SOINS DES PIÈCES PLAQUÉES Si l’appareil est muni de pièces plaquées, vous devez enlever toutes traces de doigts ou autres marques des surfaces plaquées avant d’allumer l’appareil pour la première fois. Utilisez un nettoyant à vitres ou du vinaigre et un linge pour nettoyer. Si la surface plaquée n’est pas bien nettoyée avant le premier allumage de l’appareil, elle risque de rester marquée en permanence.
