In the Main Menu, select STRUERS METHODS and press ENTER
. The following screen will appear:
Depending on your material, select one of the 10 methods.
Consult your Metalog Guide for details on the selection of methods
for various materials.
The following table will give a rough guideline.

Medium hard materials, steel, grey cast iron
Harder materials, tool steels, white cast iron
Very hard materials, ductile, sintered carbides
Very hard materials, brittle, ceramics
short method for soft materials, Al, Cu
short method for harder materials, steel
short method for hard materials, ceramics, sintered
carbides
As soft materials can not be ground on a grinding
stone, this method is designed for the plane grinding
of materials normally prepared according to methods
A, B and C.
Please select one step for the plane grinding of your
material, continue with the appropriate method
afterwards.
