Pressure generation and air flow
*/ Sound pressure level at 1.6 m height and 1 m distance according to DIN EN ISO 3744 in free field measurement at maximum
air flow.

Operation

Connection
Always check that the electrical equipment and cables for the equalization are undamaged and that all accessories are antistatic.
Connect the plug to an electrical socket outside the zone with voltage as specified on the machine's marking.
The material is separated into a container attached directly to the cyclone. The filter is cleaned using reverse pulse. The
separated and filtered material is collected into a container with a plastic sack insert, see consumables. The container can easily
be removed from the machine by releasing the fasteners, which makes it easy to take the material away.
Overload protection. The machine is equipped with an overheating protection. If there is insufficient air flow through the unit (due
to overload), the motor will be switched off. The built-in overheating protection is set to 80°C with feedback. In these situations, it
is important to investigate the cause of the overheating. Turn off and disconnect the power supply, and then wait for the motor to
cool down (it can take up to 30 minutes).
Overload protection. The machine is equipped with 3 overheating protections, one in the machine at 80°C that will reset after
cooling, one overheating protection in the fan at 90°C that is reset when the machine is made de-energized and a thermofuse
110°C at the soft start. In these situations, it is important to investigate the cause of the overheating. Turn off and disconnect the
power supply, and then wait for the machine to cool down (it can take up to 30 minutes).
CAUTION
The container is held in place by fasteners which means that a clamp must be placed on the machine's
grounding braid. This is ensured by aligning the opposite red arrow markings.
Emptying
The container underneath the cyclone should be emptied when about 2/3 full.
Be careful when releasing the fasteners – they can open with great force – especially when the material is heavy. Be aware that
emptying the container may pose a risk of explosion, i.e. that an explosive atmosphere may occur and that static charge may be
generated by the friction of the particles against the container. For appropriate measures, see IEC/TS 60079-32-1.
When the container is to be emptied, the two fasteners must be carefully released, one at a time, to prevent dust from swirling up
unnecessarily. When the machine's container has been lowered, turn on the separator again so that any stuck particles are
sucked into the filter cyclone.
For DC 1800 H EX, release the fasteners and lift the upper part of the machine. The container can now be removed from the
machine.
Carefully remove the filled sack from the edge of the container and immediately seal it tightly.
