3. Red wire with push-on spade (13) to red wire with
push-on receptacle on the instrument panel
4. Blue wire with push-on spade (15) to blue wire with
push-on receptacle on instrument panel (previously for
bulb socket of tachometer).
5. 8-socket connector (9) to 8-pin connector (8) on ta-
chometer.
Red wire with push-on receptacle (11) is a preparation for
use with Instrument Panel Extra.
Configure tachometer with engine type
Find your applicable engine type in table (Table 1). To
enter engine code:
1. Press button (10) and at the same time turn ignition key
(16) to position "I".
2. Release button when "PULSE" appears in display.
3. Press button 2 sec until "PULSE" disappears and any
engine code appears.
4. Press button repeatedly until the correct engine code
appears.
5. To store the setting, press button 2 sec until "PULSE"
appears.
To cancel configuration - turn ignition key to position "0".
Tachometer returns to normal mode if no operation is per-
formed within 30 sec. To check configured engine type,
follow steps 1–3.
