B) Cross slide and Top slide adjustment:
Each slide is fitted with a gib (C, Fig 11-3) and can be adjusted
with screws (E) fitted with lock nuts (D).

Adjust until slides move freely without play.
C) Cross slide spindle adjustment
Remove the top slide and adjust the grub screw (F, Fig 11-4) until
the backlash between the spindle and the nut is eliminated.
