Functions of the luminaire

7.1

Operating functions

Dimmable
This function can be used to change the
brightness of the luminaire. The direct light
and indirect light of the luminaire can be
dimmed only together.
7.2

VTL

VTL (Visual Timing Light) is an autono-
mously working light management system.
VTL is used to simulate the natural course
of daylight with the corresponding colour
temperature and illuminance. This positively
influences hormone production and sup-
ports the biological rhythm in a natural way.

Luminaires with the model number

ILP xxxx/VTL/D are prepared for use of VTL.
Using biodynamic lighting (VTL) requires an
external control unit for DALI Device Type 8.
On request we will be glad to advise you
on the required sequences with respect to
daytime, colour temperature and light inten-
sity for your intended use.

Operation

8.1 Operation via external
switches

Switching on and off
X Press the switch briefly.
Dimming
X Press the switch and keep it pressed.
After about one second, the luminaire
will change its brightness.
This will save the set brightness.
The next time the luminaire is switched
on, the brightness saved last will be set.
X To change the dimming direction, press
the switch again and keep it pressed.
