Functions of the luminaire

Functions of the luminaire
Depending on the luminaire model, the
luminaire has different functions.
If you want to find out which functions the
luminaire has, see chapter 2 "Model over-
view" , page 23.

Operating functions
Switchable
This function can be used to switch the
luminaire on and off.
Dimmable
This function is used to change the bright-
ness of the luminaire.
6.2
PULSE light management
PULSE light management systems com-
bine presence and daylight sensors. The
luminaire is only switched on when the
sensors detect the presence of a person
in the room and the intensity of the day-
light is insufficient.
Mode of operation
If the sensors detect the presence of a
person in their detection range and the
intensity of the daylight is not sufficient,
the luminaire is switched on automatically.
If the sensors detect no motion for 10 min-
utes in their detection range, the luminaire
is switched off automatically.
If the brightness in the detection range of
the daylight sensor changes, PULSE adjusts
the brightness of the luminaire such that
the work area is illuminated homogene-
ously.
Manual inputs on the luminaire, such as
manual switch-on and off, always take pri-
ority over the automatic light management
until the detection range of the sensors is
left for ten minutes.
PULSE HFMD
The presence sensor of the light manage-
ment system PULSE HFMD uses high fre-
quency technology and detects minimum
movements in its detection range.

PULSE PIR
The motion detector of the light manage-
ment system PULSE PIR uses passive
infrared technology and detects larger
movements in its detection range.

Parameterisation
You can adapt the PULSE light management
systems to your individual requirements:
read the operating instructions of PULSE
which can be found in the download area
of our homepage www.waldmann.com.
