PROBLEM
Auger does not stop

Fuel mixture too rich.
Spark plug faulty, fouled,
or gapped incorrectly.
Fuel cap vent is blocked.
Loose parts or damaged

Scraper bar worn.

Auger drive belt loose or

Discharge chute clogged
with snow.
Foreign object lodged in
auger.
Rubber auger is worn or

REMEDY
Adjust auger control cable. Refer to "Cable Adjustment" in the
Maintenance section of this manual. If the auger does not stop
within 5 seconds, see authorized dealer for repair.

Put snowthrower in heated garage or let unit run for a few minutes
or clean off any snow and ice from the base of the chute.
Press primer button twice and start.
Put snowthrower in heated garage to unfreeze engine.
Fill fuel tank.
Turn choke to closed, then press primer and start engine.
Turn choke to open; crank the engine repeatedly until it starts.
Connect spark plug wire or replace spark plug.
Drain tank. (Dispose of fuel at an authorized hazardous waste
facility.) Fill with fresh fuel.
Plug in cord or replace defective cord; reset circuit breaker.
Move choke to OPEN position.
Clean and re-gap spark plug or see authorized dealer.
Clear vent.
Stop engine immediately. See authorized dealer.
See authorized dealer to determine if replacement scraper bar is
necessary.
See authorized dealer for replacement.
See authorized dealer for servicing the rubber auger.
Adjust auger control cable. Refer to "Cable Adjustment" in the
Maintenance section of this manual.
See authorized dealer for belt replacement.
Stop engine immediately. Always use a clean-out tool to clear a
clogged discharge chute, not your hands. Clean discharge chute
and inside of auger housing. Refer to "Warnings" in Operator
Safety section.
