Make sure you put the right crystal into the holder. Transmitter crystals are normally marked with the letter T or TX
(T = "transmitter").
• Put the crystal holder back into the remote control.
• Disconnect the vehicle battery and pull the receiver crystal out of the receiver on the vehicle.
• The suitable receiver crystal has to be labelled with the same channel number as the transmitter crystal. In addition,
it has the letter code R or RX (R = receiver) on it.
• Insert the replacement crystal with the frequency of the transmitter into the remote control.
• Switch on the remote control followed by the receiver and check the function of the speed controller and the steering.
c) Belt tension
The tension of the toothed belts on the vehicle should be checked regularly and adjusted where necessary.
The toothed belt must not be too tight. In such a case, power consumption is increased which reduces operating time
and overloads the electric motor. As a result, the electric motor will overheat and after some time it will be destroyed!
If the toothed belt is installed too loosely, it will start slipping and ultimately it will be rendered useless.
All toothed belts have been manufactured to exactly suit the drive. Therefore, no belt tensioners are provided.
If the tension decreases, a belt tensioner (optional) might
become necessary for the long toothed belt between the
front and rear axle which is subjected to the highest amount
of strain.
Install and adjust the belt tensioner on the slot hole in the
chassis, see arrow in the illustration on the right.
