The CMC III PU may only be operated under the following operating conditions:

Note:
We recommend that the network settings are changed before the device is installed (see
section 6).
4.1
Assembly instructions
Note:
To permit the exact temperature measurement with the internal temperature sensor, an
adequate air circulation in the enclosure or server enclosure must be provided, and the
CMC PU III located so that it is adequately supplied with air, and the vent slots not cov-
ered.
If this cannot be implemented, the external temperature sensor from the scope of supply
must be used instead of the internal temperature sensor.
The assembly of the CMC III PU is made as shown in fig. 2.
Mount the CMC III PU so that the front with the transmitter and receiver is pointing to the monitored
door.
Stick the enclosed reflecting foil on the door and the side wall exactly opposite of the integrated in-
frared access sensor.
Note:
The separation between the infrared access sensor in the CMC III PU and the reflecting
foil must not exceed 15 cm. If necessary, correct the CMC III PU installation location ap-
propriately.
