Application example

Fail-safe monitoring of a safety contact edge, which is enabled using an enabling button, and
featuring separate safety circuit routing (safety category 3 compliant application in accordance with
EN 954- 1).
The break contact in this contactor has been integrated into the start-circuit (Z1, Z2) in order to check
the functioning of the load contactor K1 and K2.
The alarm relay output is used for visualising the switching state of the safety contact edge. The
circuit diagram shows the machine when activated and operating in "Switching error with manual
reset" mode.
