b) Weather station
• Open the battery compartment cover (18) on the back of the weather station and insert three AAA batteries (micro)
paying attention to the correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
The batteries serve for data backup in case of a power failure as well as for reception of the DCF signal
when the weather station is switched off.
Reception of the DCF signal is not possible without inserted batteries!
If the battery exchange indicator (11) lights up red on the top right of the weather station, you have to
exchange the battery. Dispose of the batteries with respect to environmental protection; see chapter
"Disposal".
• Close the battery compartment.
• You can attach the weather station to the wall with the opening (17) on the back.
Alternatively, you can attach the supplied base (16) on the bottom to place the weather station on a stable and level
surface of an adequate size. When pressing on the attachment clip (19), you can pull the base off again.
Use a suitable underlay to protect valuable furniture from scratches or dents.
The range between the outdoor sensor and the weather station is up to 30 m in free field (direct sight
contact between the outdoor sensor and the weather station). The range may be significantly reduced,
e.g. by walls, metal parts, cables/pipes, metal-coated insulated windows or electronic devices.
• Connect the low-voltage adaptor of the mains adaptor with the respective socket on the connection module (20)
of the weather station. Then insert the plug-in power unit into a correct mains socket (230V~/50Hz).
• Switch the weather station on with the on/off switch on the left side (1).
• Wait a few seconds until the welcome message and then the main menu appear.
If there is nothing on the display after 10 to 20 seconds, check the following:
- Is the power pack unit correctly plugged into the mains socket?
- Is the power pack unit correctly connected with the connection module (20)?
- Is there any mains voltage?
• Perform a manual sensor search (see the menu "SETTINGS" and there "INSTALL REMOTE SENSOR", see
chapter 10. g).
c) IR remote control
The battery (CR2025) may already be inserted in the IR remote control on delivery. All you may have to do is to pull
the protective strip out of the battery compartment. Otherwise proceed as described in chapter 12. c) to insert the
battery.
