Wall mounting in a built-in box pag. 39
To mount the control unit in a built-in box, proceed as follows:
- prepare the wall installation using a built-in box
- pass the connection cable through the hole provided in the base for built-in mounting.
- fix the base 3 to the box using the two screws supplied (fig. 3)
- connect the cable to the two poles of terminal board MC1 on the electronic board of the control unit (fig. 4)
- rest the front panel on the base and fix the control unit using the two screws provided
- fix the two screw head covers 5 and 6 by pressing lightly with the fingers.
Installing the power unit on the appliance pag. 40
To install the power unit on the fan coil, proceed as follows:
- remove the cabinet covering the fan coil (if present)
- fix the power unit (pag. 40)
- connect the wall-mounted control unit connection cable to terminals 3 and 4
Installing a number of appliances in parallel with a single control unit
The wall-mounted control unit can control up to 10 fan coils.
To connect correctly, mount the power unit on the first appliance connected and repeater modules on all the other appliances
connected in parallel to the first. For example, if you want to connect 6 appliances with a single wall-mounted control unit,
you must install:
- one wall-mounted control unit
- one power unit connected to the wall-mounted control unit
- 5 repeater modules installed on the remaining appliances and connected in cascade starting from the power unit installed
on the first appliance.
Connect terminals A, B and C of the power unit to terminals A, B and C (Terminal M1) of the repeater module. Connect subsequent
repeaters from terminals A, B and C (Terminal M2) to terminals A, B and C (Terminal M1) of the next repeater as shown in the
electrical wiring diagrams on pages 44.
The connection between the power unit and slave unit is 12V DC plus earth and the wires are also used for the
frequency trasmission and data. Care should therefore be taken to ensure that the connection wires do not run in
the same channel as the power wires and so on for the successive slave units. In the last slave unit, the resistor
closing the transmission line between clamp B and clamp C (Terminal M2) SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED. The LED on
the terminal board indicate operating status: green LED flashing = Trasmission correct, red LED flashing = trasmission
