Thanks for purchasing the Staufenbiel Mantis. It is a high performance thermal glider with composite

fuselage and obechi sheeted wings with a foam core. The focus is on thermal gliding, but due to the

stiff wings light aerobatics are also no problem. The construction of the model and the detailed solu-

tions related subject to a certain taste dependency. Therefore, the solutions to these instructions are

to be understood as a suggestion. There are certainly other options and approaches. In some alter-

natives is therefore received during the building specifications, but does not shown on the pictures.

pLEASE READ THIS INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!

THE WINGS

Prepare a servo with the frame. Also

a latch and two self tapping screws

to secure the latch on the frame.

Pull a servo extension through the

wing. Afterwards glue the servo

frame in with epoxy glue. Sand the

surface before and remove all dust

thoroughly.

Connect the servo to the servo

extension, put it in the frame and

secure it with the latch. Beforehand

harden the screw holes by applying a

drop of thin CA.
