II. PALAtAL eXPAnDeRS:
1. Prepare the cast as described
under "Basic Functional
Appliance."
2. With expander positioned, apply
Triad Gel to one-half of the
palate.
3. Cure 30 seconds in the Triad
VLC Unit. Apply Triad ABC to
the exposed Triad Gel Material
surface, and cure one (1)
additional minute on the cast.
4. Ensure that Triad ABC is dry
before proceeding.
5. Apply Triad MRA to the dry Triad
ABC coated surface, especially
the palate edge what will contact
the second half of the expander.
6. Apply Triad Gel Material to the
rest of the palate to form the
second half of the expander
appliance.
7. Complete the appliance as
previously described in "Basic
Functional Appliance."

IV. Patient Identification
Procedures:
1. For new appliances:
a. Apply a thin layer of Triad Gel
to the prepared cast surface
in the desired location and
cure for 30 seconds.
b. Moisten "onion skin" paper
containing the patient's typed
identification data with heat-
cured methyl methacrylate
monomer (MMA), and
can be made

partially-cured Triad Gel
Material surface.
c. Continue the Triad Gel
Material application as
previously described in "Basic
Functional Appliance."
2. For existing appliances:
a. Create a shallow well in a non-
tissue bearing surface of the
appliance.
b. Moisten "onion skin" paper
containing the patient's
identification data using
heat-cured MMA. Position the
paper in the prepared area.
c. Cover with a layer of Triad
Gel Material and cure for 30
seconds.
d. Cover with Triad ABC and
cure an additional 3 minutes.
e. After curing, scrub gently
with warm water and a
brush to remove all traces of
Triad ABC.
f. If needed, trim excess material
and polish in a normal manner.
V. Additions, Modifications, and
Repairs
Additions of Triad Gel Material
can be made at any time during
construction before Triad ABC has
been applied. After application of
the Triad ABC, Triad Gel Material can
be added to the cured surface using
the following procedure:
1. Remove the Triad ABC by
scrubbing thoroughly with a
brush and warm water.
2. Freshen the Triad material
surface by lightly grinding the
