5. Finishing and polishing
Orthocryl
acrylics can be finished and polished using
®
conventional acrylic burs and polishers. Please observe the
stipulated protective equipment which must be worn
(facial protection / protective eyewear) during processing.
6. Reducing the remaining monomer content and
the biocompatibility of Orthocryl
In order to reduce the remaining monomer content, the
finished appliance – if possible – should be immersed in water
for three days, before transferring to the patient. This
immersion in water causes the monomer residues to reduce to
values similar to heat-curing resins. If this is not possible, then it
is recommended that the patient places the appliance in water,
during the time it is not worn. Orthocryl
scientifically tested.
Information on this, a comprehensive instruction manual with
many practical tips and the entire product range of Orthocryl
is available for your use.
