Warnings in the instructions:
Symbol, meaning
!
DANGER: Indicates a possibly hazardous
situation which will result in death or serious
injuries if not avoided.
!
WARNING: Indicates a possibly hazard-
ous situation which could result in death or
serious injuries if not avoided.
!
CAUTION: Indicates dangerous situa-
tions which could potentially lead to minor or
moderate physical injury if not avoided.
NOTICE: Indicates potential damage to the
product or its surroundings.
The ventilation unit must not be used
in the following situations under any
circumstances.
During the build phase, damage to
unit caused by contamination of the
ventilation unit.
Ventilation unit operation is not permitted
during the build phase.
Risk of combustion/fire from flamma-
ble materials, liquids or gases in the
vicinity of the ventilation unit. Do not place
any flammable materials, liquids or gases
near the fan, which may ignite in the event
of heat or sparks and catch fire.
Risk of death if an air-ventilated fire-
place is connected to an exhaust gas
system, which itself has multiple connec-
tions. The air-ventilated fireplace may result
30
in exhaust fumes being transferred to other
residential units. Risk of death, for example
from carbon monoxide.
Never use ventilation unit if there are
air-ventilated fireplaces in the housing unit
that are connected to exhaust gas systems,
which themselves have multiple connections.
Risk of explosion: Explosive gases
and dusts may ignite and cause serious
explosions or fire.
Never use ventilation unit in an explosive
atmosphere.
Risk of explosion: Explosive substanc-
es in lab extraction units may ignite and
cause serious explosions or fire. Aggressive
substances may damage the ventilation unit.
Never use ventilation unit in combination
with a lab extraction unit.
Risk to health from chemicals or ag-
gressive gases/vapours.
Chemicals or aggressive gases/vapours may
harm health, especially if they are distributed
throughout the rooms by the ventilation unit.
Never use ventilation unit to convey chemi-
cals or aggressive gases/vapours.
Grease and oil vapours from range
hoods may contaminate the ventila-
tion unit and reduce efficiency.
The unit should not be used with range
hoods in exhaust air operation. Recommen-
dation: In terms of energy consumption, use
range hoods in circulating air mode.
Electric shock from water ingress if
used in protection zones. Units/cont-
rols not suited for outdoor use.
Protect ventilation units/controls from mois-
ture and wetness.
Use RLS/DS controls only outside protecti-
on zones 0, 1 and 2.
Use PP 45 ventilation units only outside
protection zones 0, 1 and 2.
Use PPB 30 O/K ventilation units only
outside of protection zone 0. Use PPB 30 RC
ventilation units only outside of protection
zones 0 and 1.
