20.1 Remedying Lawn Mower or Battery Faults

Fault LEDs on the
battery
The lawn mower 1 LED flashes
does not start when green.
switched on.
1 LED illuminates
red.
3 LEDs flash red.
3 LEDs illuminate
red.
4 LEDs flash red.

Cause
The battery charge state is
too low.
The battery is too warm or
too cold.
There is a fault in the lawn
mower.
The lawn mower is too
warm.
There is a fault in the
battery.
The electrical connection
between the lawn mower
and battery has been
interrupted.
Remedy
► Charge the battery.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the battery to cool down or warm up.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean the electric contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Fit the battery.
► Switch the lawn mower on.
► If 3 LEDs still flash red: do not use the lawn mower
and consult a STIHL specialist dealer.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the lawn mower to cool down.
► Remove the battery and fit it again.
► Switch the lawn mower on.
► If 4 LEDs still flash red: do not use the battery and
consult a STIHL specialist dealer.
► Pull out the activation key.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean the electric contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Insert the activation key.
► Fit the battery.
