VI. INSTALLING THE BONE SAW
The work surface where the RCBS-1650 Bone Saw will be located must be suitable
for the size of the appliance. The work surface must be level and dry and at a height
of 80 cm from the ground with a temperature between 5°C and 35°C.
It must be remembered that the mains parameters are the same as indicated on the
techplate.
Prior to use, thoroughly clean the device and equipment.
VII. OPERATION
Purpose:
The RCBS-1650 Bone Saw is intended for cutting bones and meat. It is forbidden
12
to use this device for purposes other than it was designed for.
Operation:
Before connecting the bone saw to the power source, make sure that the saw belt
is properly tensioned. If the saw belt requires adjustment, then it should be done by
using the saw belt tension adjustment knob (No. 1 in the picture above). Scrapers
(No. 3 and 6 in the picture above) must not have too much tension on the saw belt –
too much pressure on the saw belt will cause faster wear of the saw belt. Adjustment
of the element No. 9 in the picture above allows for setting the cutting width. After
connecting the bone saw to the power source, please check if the main switch works
properly. The operator should always be at the front of the bone saw.
Cutting:
•
Lift the pusher and place the meat / bones on the element for cutting width.
Hold the pusher with left hand and push the meat / bones to the saw with pro-
per force. It is forbidden to use hands only for cutting.
•
If the movable cover will open during work, the bone saw will stop immediately,
however it must be remembered, that the saw belt can rotate for some time. In
accordance with this, it is forbidden to touch the saw and other inside elements
with your hands – there is a risk of severe injury!
•
It is recommended to use gloves for protection while operating.
•
In order to remove the cut meat / bones, the bone saw must be switched off.
Saw belt replacement:
In order to replace the saw belt, the device must be disconnected from the power
source. Open the removable cover (No. 8 in the picture above), then loosen the saw
blade tension adjustment knob (No. 1 in the picture above) until the saw belt can be
taken off from the pulleys (No. 2 and 7 in the picture above). Replace the saw belt and
then tighten the saw blade tension adjustment knob for proper tension of the saw
blade. Close the removable cover and check the proper operation of the bone saw.
VIII. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always cut off the power by unplugging it from the power socket before cleaning and
maintenance.
The device should be cleaned at least one time every day. If necessary, it can be clea-
ned more often.
The parts of the device that are in direct or indirect contact with food must be clea-
ned.
It is forbidden to use water or water jet to directly clean the device. Brushes or
other tools which may damage the surface cannot be used.
