must be at the center contact. The current con-
sumption is 300 mA. A DC plug 5.5/2.1 mm (out-
side/inside diameter) is required.
7 Operation
1) After connecting the 12 V
camera is ready for operation. The red LED (11) at
the rear of the camera lights.
2) Adjust the distance at the lens and in case of
lenses with an iris which is adjusted manually, set
the distance to optimum picture reproduction
(depth of focus and brightness).
3) If the picture reproduction is not clear with correct-
ly adjusted distance, the mechanical focus setting
for the lens must be adjusted. For this loosen the
hexagonal screw (2) of the lens thread ring. By
turning the thread ring (3) adjust a sharp picture.
Then tighten the hexagonal screw again.
7.1 Automatic gain control (AGC)
For the compensation of different light intensities dur-
ing recordings, the automatic gain control should
principally be switched on. Set the DIP switch AGC
(9) to position ON.
Switch off the gain control (position OFF) only if
the illumination is very weak and if the picture repro-
duction is strongly affected by differences of bright-
ness if the camera is rotated.
7.2 White balance
Depending upon the colour temperature of the am-
bient light, white objects may be reproduced by the
camera with a bluish or reddish colour tinge. The
camera must be adjusted to automatic white balance
to avoid this effect. With this setting the camera auto-
