11. Handling
• If the volume inside your car is too high, you will not hear any acoustic warning signals. This constitutes
a danger to yourself and other road users. Therefore, make sure the volume is at a suitable level.
• Inattentiveness on the road may cause serious accidents. Operation of the hi-fi system may therefore
only take place if the traffic situation permits and you are not unduly distracted by operating the sy-
stem.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music over an extended period of time. This may damage your hearing.
Advice on Handling CDs
• Hold CDs at the edges only. This avoids fingerprints or dirt on the surface.
• Always place the CD in the CD slot with the written side facing upwards.
• Only touch CDs with clean hands.
• If one of your CDs is dirty, wipe it clean from the centre to the edge using a soft, lint-free cloth. Never
clean CDs in a circular motion. Never use any solvents.
• If the dirt cannot be removed easily, please use a standard CD cleaning agent (do not use a cleaning
agent for records) and observe the manufacturer's instructions.
• Do not label your CDs and do not apply any stickers or the like.
• After playing your CDs, keep them in the provided CD cases.
• When storing CDs, do not expose them to direct sunlight, heat or moisture.
