PTY/AF button (22)
This button controls the PTY and AF functions. Briefly push to control the PTY function, push long to control
the AF function.
PTY function
This function permits finding stations with a specific programme type.
Briefly push the button PTY/AF (22).
The display shows the selected or currently received programme type.
Turn the VOLUME (4) dial until the desired programme type is displayed.
Push the button 44 (15) or 66 (5) to start scanning for the programme type set.
The auto-scan will stop at the next station of the selected programme type that can be received well.
To deactivate the PTY function again, push the button RTY/AF (22) briefly again.
AF function
The AF function calls automatic transmitter station tracking. When you leave a transmission area, the radio
can only switch to a better sender when the AF function is activated.
Keep the PTY/AF (22) button pushed
Keep the button pushed again
"AF" will be displayed if the function is active.
If the reception of an RDS transmitter station gets weaker or the radio does not receive and RDS station at
all, the display flashes.
When a station can be received well, the symbol is displayed continuously.
