Saw chain changing
Change the chain if the cutting elements are too worn-out after
repeated sharpening or if the chain faces a risk of breaking. A
spare chain mentioned in these Operating Instructions to be
used only. The chain wheel must also be changed when
changing the chain. By this, the chain will be driven properly.
Do not use clearing baths containing chlorine, carbon
tetrachloride or petrol. The chain and chain wheel can be
received as a spare part and accessory equipment.

Troubleshooting
CAUTION: Unplug the chain saw before any servicing. Risk of serious injuries or death as a result of electric shock or
contact with the rotating chain.
Problem
Saw running but not cutting
Saw cutting only at high speed and it only
results in a few chippings with some bigger
fractions.
Saw running slowly and remaining
slightly jammed
Saw engine not starting after pressing the
starter
Saw engine running but not moving
Chain not being supplied with oil
Chain getting out of the
chain bar
Saw smoking
Oil leaking from the saw
Possible cause
Chain fitted the other way round on the chain
bar
Chain is blunt
Voltage is too low
Switch fuse has not been pressed to release
the starter
Extension line connection is released
Automatic fuse switch is open
Engine brushes are worn out
Electrical circuit on the saw is open
Gear wheel is defective
Oil groove on the chain bar is blocked
Oil is too dense
Chain is too loose
Chain bar and chain are fitted improperly
Saw is damaged. Do not use the saw
Oil tank cover is not closed
