10.1. Replacing nozzle parts
Removing the material nozzle
■ Unscrew air nozzle ring with contact guard [8-1] by hand and remove.
■ Remove air nozzle [8-2] together with material nozzle [8-3].
Removing the pre-nozzle, carbide needle tip and paint needle
■ Unscrew and remove pre-nozzle [8-4] using SATA universal wrench.
■ Unscrew and remove closing screw [8-8] using SATA combination tool.
■ Remove spring [8-7].
■ Unscrew and remove carbide needle tip (4 mm) [8-5] using SATA
wrench (use screwdriver to hold end of needle in place).
■ Remove paint needle [8-6].

Notice!
Damage due to incorrect order of assembly
The components can be damaged if installed in the wrong sequence.
→ Make sure to assemble parts in correct order.
■ Insert new paint needle [8-6].
■ Use wrench to screw new carbide needle tip [8-5] onto paint needle
(use screwdriver to hold end of needle in place).
■ Slide paint needle to the back.
■ Screw in pre-nozzle [8-4] using SATA universal wrench.
■ Install spring [8-7].
■ Screw on closing screw [8-8] using SATA combination tool.
Attaching a new material nozzle
Information!
Insert the pre-nozzle into the air nozzle for the material nozzle with in-
version switch. Pay attention to alignment of groove to locating pin.
■ Insert material nozzle [8-3] into air nozzle [8-2]. Pay attention to align-
ment of groove to locating pin.
■ Attach air nozzle ring with contact guard [8-1] together with air nozzle
and material nozzle and screw on by hand.
