The air micrometer may shoot out of the spray gun in an uncontrolled
manner.
→ When screwing in the locking screw, ensure the air micrometer is
correctly aligned.
→ Check the locking screw for tight fit.
■ Screw in a new seal retainer [15-2] using the original SATA Combi-Tool
[15-1] (size 4).
■ Grease a new air piston rod [14-4] using SATA high-performance
grease (Art. No. 48173) and insert. Check correct installation direction.
■ Insert a new air piston washer [14-1] and head [14-3].
■ Grease a new air micrometer [14-2] using SATA high-performance
grease (Art. No. 48173) and insert. Check correct installation direction.
■ Firmly screw in the locking screw [13-1] using the original SATA Com-
bi-Tool [13-2].
■ Carry out the working steps „Mount a new trigger guard" (see chap-
ter 10.4).
■ Carry out the working steps „Fit new nozzle head" (see chapter 10.2).
■ Carry out the working steps „Fit a new pre-nozzle, hard metal ball
tip and paint needle" and „Mount a new material nozzle" (see chap-
ter 10.1).
10.7. Replacing spindles of round/flat fan control
Dismantle spindle
■ Unscrew the countersunk screw [16-1] using the SATA Combi-Tool.
■ Remove the control knob [16-2].
■ Unscrew the spindle [16-3] using the SATA universal spanner (size 12).
Mount new spindle
■ Position a new spindle [16-3] and screw in using the SATA universal
spanner (size 12).
■ Position the control knob [16-2].
■ Secure the countersunk screw [16-1] with Loctite 242 and hand-tighten
it using the SATA Combi-Tool.
