Information for the user

General information
NOTE
Please note these instructions while you are installing,
operating and maintaining this equipment. VDE
regulations stipulate that these instructions must be
available at all times, and be provided to the qualified
installer for them to refer to when they are working on
the storage heater. For this reason, we request that
you leave these instructions for the owner or new user

when you move house.
ATTENTION!
The supplementary kit may only be installed by a
qualified installer. Improper interventions may result in
considerable risks for the user!

Setting the room temperature
The setting depends on various factors, such as the in-
stallation location of the storage heater, unit type and
dimensions. The adjusting knob therefore has numbers
and marks to help you set the desired room tempera-
ture. Setting the knob to "8" will produce a room tem-
perature of around 20°C. Please note that the room
needs time to reach the desired temperature, so only
adjust by a small amount at a time.
To heat up a room quickly you can turn the rotary knob
all the way to the right until the desired room tempera-
ture is reached. Then turn the rotary knob back to the
required mark.

Mains on/off switch
Use the mains on/off switch at the top to switch off the
room temperature controller, for example at night. If
you have auxiliary heating (special accessory), this is
switched off at the same time.
ATTENTION!
If the property is unoccupied for some time and the fan
is switched off, the antifreeze function is not
guaranteed.

Auxiliary heating on/off switch
Use the auxiliary heating on/off switch at the bottom to
switch on an auxiliary heater (special accessory) inte-
grated in the unit. In addition to the fan, the room tem-
perature controller also switches the auxiliary heating
on and off to keep the room temperature constant.
The accessories for the auxiliary heating include a tem-
perature monitor that prevents the auxiliary heating
from being switched on when the storage heater is
charged with more than about 25% of the maximum
storable heat. This prevents unwanted heating at a
high tariff.
NOTE
On units in the low/deep special series, the controls are
located in the front panel.
