4.5 GROUND RESISTIVITY MEASUREMENT (ρ ρ ρ ρ position)
The ground resistivity is calculated using the resistance measurement R
the measurement rods.
Two calculation methods are possible : Wenner method or Schlumberger method.
To plot the resistivity profile as a function of the depth of the earth, the Schlumberger method is easier
to implement as only 2 rods need to be moved: the 2 outer rods.
With the Wenner method, the 4 rods need to be moved.
IMPORTANT NOTE :
- Fast measurement : pressed briefly, the START pushbutton triggers the resistance measurement R
only.
- Expert measurement : pressed and held (2 seconds), the START pushbutton triggers the resistance
measurement R and the resistance measurements on the auxiliary rods R
