3. UPS Only: Plug the power cord provided with the IBM equipment
into the input connector on the UPS rear panel (see Figure 31 on
page 24).
UPS with PDM: Plug the power cord provided with the IBM
equipment into the input connector on the PDM rear panel (see
Figure 34 on page 28).
4. Plug the other end of the power cord into a power outlet. All UPS
front panel indicators flash briefly and the UPS conducts a self-test.
When the self-test is complete, the
the UPS is in Standby mode.
5. Press the On button.

Normal mode and supplying power to your equipment.

NOTE The batteries charge to 90% capacity in approximately 3 hours. However, it is
recommended that the batteries charge for 24 hours after installation or long-term storage.
