a) Alarm settings in disarmed status
There are two settings options for acoustic alarm sounding.
• Alarm sounding via beep tone
•
If a zone is set to raise the alarm via beep tone, the alarm system emits a beep tone as soon as a
sensor is activated. The beep tone sounds again when the sensor is deactivated. If movement is
detected, the beep tone continues for 20 seconds, as soon as a movement is detected.
• Alarm sounding via internal siren
•
If a zone is set to raise the alarm via internal siren, the alarm system sounds the siren as soon as a
sensor is activated. The siren sounds again when the sensor is deactivated, but sounds no longer
than 3 minutes.
a) Alarm settings in armed status
• Alarm sounding via beep tone
•
If a zone is set to raise the alarm via beep tone, when in „armed status" the alarm system maintains
an entry and exit delay if sensors are activated (more on entry and exit delays can be found in Chap-
ters „11.3 Arming the Alarm System and 11.4 Disarming the Alarm System").
• Alarm sounding via internal siren
•
If a zone is set to raise the alarm via internal siren, the alarm system directly sounds the siren as
soon as a sensor is activated without prior entry or exit delay. The programmed telephone numbers
are dialled. The alarm system can only be disarmed by entering the master code or the secondary
security code (siren is deactivated, the remaining telephone numbers will not be dialled).

The factory setting is for all zones on alarm sounding via beep tone.
You should set the zones correspondingly to alarm sounding via internal siren if:
- you require immediate alarm sounding if a sensor is activated (e.g. wireless water sensor)
- if the sensor is not one which is activated daily (such as a window or door sensor) but when it is
activated you require an immediate sounding of the alarm.
It is not recommended to set sensors placed in the external area to alarm sounding
via the internal siren. This can lead to false alarms and to noise disturbances.
