9. Programming the Security Codes
We recommend that you alter the security codes (master code, secondary security code and the duress
code) after successful installation of the alarm control centre.
Master code
The master code is required to enter the programming mode, to arm and disarm the alarm
system and to gain access to the internal alarm dialler.
The factory setting for the master code is 1234.
Secondary security code
The secondary security code is required to arm and disarm the alarm system and to gain
access to the internal alarm dialler. It is basically a second master code, however the
difference is that the secondary security code cannot be used to enter the programming
mode.
The factory setting for the secondary security code is 0000.
Duress code
The duress code is used to mute the active internal alarm signal when the alarm is
activated. Enter the duress code, this mutes the internal signal. The alarm control centre
then carries out a „silent" alarm and carries out an emergency call and alarm via the
preprogrammed telephone numbers in the internal alarm dialler.
The factory setting for the duress code is 3838.
Proceed as follows to alter the aforementioned security codes:
