BOND
Aspirating Probe Cleaning System
™
Catalog No: CS9100
Intended Use
The BOND Aspirating Probe Cleaning System is intended for automated cleaning of aspirating probes on BOND instruments, using the
aspirating probe cleaning protocol installed in BOND systems (includes Leica BOND-MAX system and Leica BOND-III system).
Summary and Explanation
Routine use of the BOND Aspirating Probe Cleaning System keeps BOND system aspirating probes free of DAB residue.
The BOND Aspirating Probe Cleaning System is a tray of three cleaning reagents that is loaded onto the BOND system like any other set
of reagents. A 20-minute predefined cleaning protocol mixes reagents from the system in the BOND mixing station then uses a sequence
of aspirations and dispenses in the station to thoroughly clean the bottom 2–3 cm of the probe. As a final step the probe is rinsed with
BOND Wash to remove any cleaning reagent residue.
Use of the cleaning system does not remove the need for regular, manual cleaning of the probe. Leica Biosystems recommends that
users wipe the external surface of the probe with a soft cloth dipped in 70% alcohol once a week.
Reagents Provided
Reagents sufficient for 15 cleans:
1. Cleaning Component A (3.75 mL) proprietary cleaning reagent
2. Cleaning Component B (3.75 mL) <5% sulphuric acid
3. Cleaning Component C (3.75 mL) proprietary cleaning reagent
Dilution and Mixing
The BOND Aspirating Probe Cleaning System is optimized for use on the BOND system. No manual reconstitution, mixing, dilution, or
titration is required. BOND mixes components to the correct concentrations on the instrument when cleaning is initiated.
Materials Required but Not Provided
No additional materials are required to use the BOND Aspirating Probe Cleaning System.
