adjacent channels will interfere with each other. The
following channel selection is recommended:
for two cameras:
channels 1 and 5
for three cameras:
channels 1, 3, and 5
Adjust the desired transmission channel with the DIP
switches on the rear side of the housing, see fig. 2.
4.4 Power supply
For power supply, a regulated 12 V power supply unit
with a minimum output current of 350 mA is required,
e. g. PS-500ST from MONACOR. As the camera will
only have a very low current consumption (max.
1.5 mA) in stand-by mode, a power supply independ-
ent of the mains supply is also possible via a 12 V
rechargeable battery.
1) In case of a power supply unit with variable output
voltage, adjust the voltage to 12 V.
2) Connect the power supply via a low-voltage plug
5.5/2.5 mm (outside/inside diameter) to the inline
jack (9). Always observe the correct polarity: The
positive pole must be at the inner contact of the
plug.
3) After applying the operating voltage, the camera is
ready for operation.
4.5 Noise and motion detectors
1) Use the DIP switches on the lower side of the unit
according to fig. 3 for defining which detectors will
activate the camera or for setting the camera to
continuous operation.
2) With at least one of the detectors activated, adjust
the tracking time with the control (8) between ap-
prox. 2 seconds and 5 minutes. The tracking time
is the time for which the camera will remain acti-
vated after the last movement or noise detected.
3) If the noise detector (3) is activated, adjust the
sensitivity with the control (6):
Control turned counter-clockwise to the left stop
= high sensitivity, i. e. already a low noise will
activate the camera.
Control turned clockwise to the right stop = low
sensitivity, i. e. only a loud noise will activate the
camera.
4.6 Activating the infrared LEDs
With unfavourable lighting conditions, the six IR LEDs
(1) can be switched on with the DIP switch No. 4 on
the lower side of the unit (fig. 3 below). Thus, a suffi-
cient illumination of up to 8 m as a maximum at an
radiation angle of approx. 30° is achieved. However,
a distance of at least 50 cm towards the object to be
monitored must be kept, otherwise there will be no
uniform illumination.

4.8 Control channel
As long as the camera is activated, it will emit a con-
trol signal via a control channel. If the receiver is also
provided with a control channel, it is possible to
activate an acoustic or visual signal device or another
additional unit (e. g. a video recorder for automatic
start of a recording) via this channel.
