3.3 TORQUE ADJUSTMENT

Dip-switches SW3: these switches allow for the adjustment of the electrical
power supplied to the motor and, as a result, of its mechanical torque. This value
is factory-set at 65% of the electrical output which can be supplied by the device
(SW3 - Switch 3 ON).
If the mechanical torque is not adequate with respect to the real needs of the
automation, it is possible to adjust these switches as explained below.

Caution
Setting more than one switch to ON is never recommended.

Warning
The variation of the torque adjustment is learned immediately by the control
device (there is no need to power the equipment down and up).
It is however recommended adjusting the torque with the motor stopped
only.

3.4 ANTI-CRUSH

The control device is equipped with a special obstacle sensing system.
In default confi guration, this system is disabled.
For enabling the system, switch SW1 - Switch 6 ON.

Warning
The adjustment of the obstacle sensing threshold is automatic. Do not,
at any time, tamper with or change the position of the trimmer set by the
manufacturer. If the anti-crush system activates in absence of obstacles,
increase the electrical power and the torque supplied by the motor with
the Dip-switches SW3.

3.5 FUNCTIONING PROGRAMMING: DIP-SWITCHES SW1

It is now possible to program the device.
Every time you program the device, disconnect the electrical power supply to enable
the microprocessor to learn the new setting.

Automatic: when a start pulse is given, the device commands opening as far as the
opening limit switch. Any start pulses sent during opening are ignored; once the open
limit switch has been triggered, the pause time starts. When the pause time expires,
the device commands the start of the closing operation. During closing, a start
pulse re-opens the automation. The same occurs if the photocells are triggered.
During the pause when the photocells are triggered, the device remains in pause
until the photocells are cleared.
Semiautomatic with stop: when the automation is closed, a start pulse
commands opening as far as the open limit switch. Any start pulses sent during
opening causes an immediate stop in position; the automation remains in this
position until another start pulse commands closing. During closing, a start pulse
re-opens the automation.
Semiautomatic OPEN/CLOSE: operating is semiautomatic (see above) with the
difference that the OPEN (Start) and CLOSE inputs are separate. The input of terminal
12 assumes the "CLOSE" input function. An OPEN (Start) pulse during closing
commands reopening. The CLOSE command during opening commands closing.
Dead man: this operating mode requires the physical presence of a person. The input
of terminal 12 assumes the "close" input function. To open, press the start push-button
and hold it down (opening input). When the push-button is released, the movement
stops. To close, press the close push-button and hold it down; if the photocells are
obscured, the device blocks movement: in this case, the operator must release
the push-buttons and press either open or close. This is also the case if the two
push-buttons are pressed at the same time.
