Use
Open the flow control value momentarily and smell the air, if a foul odor
can be detected at the sintered air outlet (6) stop the test and press the
"Fail" key. Seriously contaminated air could result in damage of the
Dräger Aerotest 5000. If no foul odor can be detected, press the
"Pass" key.
The Dräger Aerotest 5000 will commence a purge sequence of
approx. 5 minutes to remove contaminations from previous
measurements.
Once the purge has finished, break off the tips of the selected Dräger-
Tubes and insert them into the corresponding tube sockets (2-5). The
arrow on the tube points away from the device. Manually tighten the
tube socket on the device.
The Dräger Oil-Impactor is inserted into the socket for the oil tube.

Do not remove the protective foil of the Impactor until after the
measurement has been completed. Observe the Instructions
for Use provided with the products when using the Dräger-Tu-
bes or the Dräger Oil-Impactor.
Then press the "OK" key to start the test.

The status of the individual measurements is indicated on the display.

The check marks indicate that the tests are complete. Once the test is
complete, the flow control valve must be closed.
Enter the readings from the measurement results of the tubes or the
Impactor into the Dräger Aerotest 5000.

After the test is complete, the display automatically indicates whether
the test was a pass or fail. All measurement values determined during
the test are displayed. If the test was a fail, the criteria that do not fulfill
the standard are indicated by an alternating asterisk. Additionally, the
Dräger Aerotest 5000 automatically calculates the atmospheric
dewpoint. This test result is automatically recorded in the memory of
the Dräger Aerotest 5000. The test results are recorded according to
the date and time at which the corresponding test was completed. Up
to 10 tests can be recorded. To view the test results, select the "Review
tests" menu from the main menu. Previous tests can be viewed or
deleted in this menu.
To disconnect the Dräger Aerotest 5000 from the air supply to be
tested, make sure that the inlet coupling remains connected to the
Dräger Aerotest 5000 and only disconnect it from the end of the air
supply hose. The adapters can then be removed from the
Dräger Aerotest 5000.

Exporting test results and PC software.
Recorded test results can be downloaded to the supplied USB stick.
To transfer the results return to the main menu and select the "Export
tests" menu option.
Connect the supplied USB stick to the USB port (11) and confirm the
connection with "Yes".

If the test to be downloaded is already on the USB stick the
download will fail.
After exporting the data to the USB stick the results can be deleted
from the Dräger Aerotest 5000 memory.
