Charging the batt ery
Start charging
CAUTION! Risk of damage when att empti ng to charge a
faulty batt ery, or if using the incorrect charging voltage.
Before beginning charging, ensure that the batt ery to be
charged is fully functi onal and the charging voltage of the
charger matches the batt ery voltage.
Aft er connecti ng the charging cable, the desired charging mode must
be selected. AGM for lead-acid batt eries or LFP for lithium-ion batt er-
ies. The charger starts charging the batt ery with constant current up to
14.8 V (14.0 at Lithium) (at 25 °C). The charge voltage is then held
constant at 14.8 V (14.0 at Lithium) and the charging current is reduced
unti l it is below a defi nied level. The charge voltage then drops to
13.4 V (13.8 at Lithium), when the long-term charging phase starts.
During charging, batt ery charge is shown by the number of LEDs illumi-
nated. The blinking segment above these LEDs indicates acti ve charging.
During the charge retenti on process, all 5 LED segments remain illumi-
nated and pulse at a slow rate. If the measured batt ery voltage is be-
low 10.5 V, the charger will enter error mode, and the warning triangle
above the batt ery indicati on will start to fl ash.
1. Connect mains cable to charger and plug into mains.
2. Charger in open circuit – Triangle lights up and the red triangle
fl ashes, because no connected batt ery is detected.
WARNING! Risk of serious injury and damage from incor-
rectly connected charging terminals. Connect charging
terminals to correct poles and ensure proper electrical
connecti on to batt ery terminals.
3. If using the vehicle power supply, switch off igniti on and all other
devices consuming power.
4. Connect charging cable (red) to positi ve pole (+) on batt ery.
5. Connect charging cable (black) to negati ve pole (-) on batt ery.
6. Select desired charging mode AGM or LFP by pressing the
right butt on.
NOTE! If no charging mode is selected, both butt ons
of the charging modes fl ash unti l a selecti on is made.
This conditi on persists throughout the enti re charging ti me.
