DuoControl
Intended use
Truma DuoControl is an automatic changeover regulator for
switching between two gas cylinders.
As well as automatically switching between the gas cylinders,
DuoControl also ensures a uniform gas pressure of 30 mbar
or 50 mbar (depending on the variant), with a permitted inlet
pressure of 0.6 – 16 bar.
The current supply status (operating or reserve cylinder) is
shown directly on the mica window. By adding a remote con-
trol (part no. 50210-01), the DuoControl changeover regulator
can be upgraded so that the supply status can be viewed from
inside the vehicle.
Two high-pressure hoses are needed for connecting to the gas
cylinders.
Even though it is not a mandatory requirement, Truma
always recommends the use of high-pressure hoses with
a hose rupture protection.
To allow the use of the regulator with gas cylinders with a
range of different connection sizes, Truma offers hoses with a
selection of widely used connection fittings (see pages 51).
To avoid disturbances in the gas system during winter opera-
tion, the DuoControl changeover regulator may be equipped
with Truma's "EisEx" regulator heating (part no. 53101-01).
EisEx is included with regulators using a remote control.
The DuoControl changeover regulator is suitable for all vehi-
cles up to construction date 12/2006. Heating while driving is
permitted, except in France. The enclosed stickers ("Close gas
cylinders while driving") do not apply in this case.
For vehicles from construction date 01/2007, a safety shut-off
device will be required for heating while driving, pursuant
to the Heaters Directive 2001/56/EC. For systems using
DuoControl, it will therefore be necessary to close the gas
cylinders while driving. Apply the enclosed stickers in the
cylinder box and in the vicinity of the liquid gas heater control
panel.
For vehicles from construction date 01/2007 in which heating
while driving is required, Truma supplies the SecuMotion gas
pressure regulator and the DuoComfort changeover valve.

The DuoControl changeover regulator may not be used
in confined spaces (houses, mobile homes), or on boats!
The use of the Truma DuoControl changeover regulator in
vehicles used for commercial purposes is not permitted in
Germany.
