The actuators contain pre-tensioned springs that may derail or slip
on improper opening.
▶ Actuators Ø 175 mm and 225 mm shall only be opened in our
factory or by the responsible distributor.
8.3.1 Work to be carried out before
installation
→
Interrupt supply of medium and empty valve body.
→
Bring actuator into the upper piston position. To do this, pres-
surize the lower piston chamber with compressed air via the
lower control air connection (control function A and I).
→
Unscrew transparent cap from actuator cover
(Follow safety instructions Chapter "8", page 13!).
→
Screw out position indicator/spindle cap
( yellow screw cap; see "Fig. 8") by hand.
→
Interrupt supply of control air.
8.3.2 Installation and start-up
→
Lightly grease spindle extension ①
(silicone grease OKS 1110-0).
→
Screw spindle extension ① (with Allen key size 8) onto actuator
spindle (M16x1.5) and secure with Loctite 274.
