The actuators contain pre-tensioned springs that may derail or slip
on improper opening.
▶ Actuators Ø 175 mm and 225 mm shall only be opened in our
factory or by the responsible distributor.

7.3.1 Work to be carried out before
installation
→
Interrupt supply of medium.
→
Empty valve body.
→
Bring actuator into the upper piston position. To do this, pres-
surize the lower piston chamber with compressed air via the
lower control air connection (control function A and I).
→
Unscrew transparent cap from actuator cover
(Follow safety instructions Chapter "7", page 10!)..
→
Screw out position indicator (yellow screw cap) by hand.
→
Screw threaded sleeve or spindle cap ④ instead of the position
indicator onto the end of the spindle (size 14).
→
Interrupt supply of control air.
7.3.2 Installation and start-up
→
Screw threaded nipple ① into actuator (size 27) instead of
transparent cap.
→
Screw setscrew ② into threaded nipple ①.
→
Set max. stroke by adjusting the setscrew ②.
→
Secure setscrew ② with nut ③.
→
Test valve for function and leaktightness.
