In this section you will learn how to make the most effective use of these Operating
Instructions so as to be able to work safely with the Decomposition System AOD 1.
The instructions given in Section 1 "For your safety" must be followed without
fail.
Work through Sections 1 to 8 in numerical order.

Section 3 "Transport, Storage, Installation Location" is particularly relevant to sys-
tem reliability and ensuring high accuracy of measurements. Section 4 describes the
components of the Decomposition System AOD 1.
Once you have carried out the procedures described in Section 5 "Setting-up and
Carrying out

Initial Start-up", the Decomposition System AOD 1 is ready for trial decompositions.
Section 6 "Carrying Out Decomposition Trials" describes the complete test proce-
dure from preparation of the components to the subsequent analysis.
Section 7 contains important information on care and maintenance, and accesso-
ries, consumables, and technical data are given in Sections 8 and 9. The index is in
