The operation of pressure containers is regulated by national directives, standards

Operators of pressure vessels are required to keep these vessels in good condition,
operate them correctly, test them correctly, carry out the necessary servicing and
maintenance and to take the necessary safety precautions.
A pressure vessel must not be operated when it is faulty or where it can cause a
hazard to the operator or third parties. The European Pressure Equipment Directive
is available from the publishers Carl Heymanns Verlag and Beuth Verlag.
Persons whose training, knowledge and practical experience guarantees that
they are in a position to carry out tests in the correct manner.
Persons who are authorised to carry out testing.
Persons who, where necessary, are in possession of suitable testing devices.
Persons who can document that they are in possession of the requirements
cited in point 1 above.

