8.1.5 Changing the element

Switch off the fuel flow.
Undo the cap and pull out
the attached filter element.
Unclip the filter element
from the screw cap
(see centre graphic).
Replace the O-ring
of the screw-in cover
(a new O-ring is included
in the kit with the
spare filter element).
Lubricate O-rings of the
filter element and the cap with fuel.
Clip the new filter element
into the screw cap.
Insert the new filter element
into the housing.
Screw the cap as far as it will go
into the housing.
Ensure this is to a torque value
of 50 Nm.
