7.) Insert spacers 7 in existing openings on vehicle.
Drill bodywork through spacer bores (see arrows), dia. 10,2 mm.
Deburr bores on both sides.
8.) Affix provided gaskets 8 from outside onto bodywork.
9.) Bolt bumper to vehicle. Transfer bores
9 to brackets 5. Detach bumper, mark
brackets 5 and drill holes dia. 10,2 mm.
10.) Bolt bracket 10 (see illustration 324 015 691 101 with hexagon bolts M10x25 and
washers 10,5x21x2 at 'a' to bumper.
Tightening torque = 40 Nm for M10
11.) Hold bumper in position on vehicle and secure with existing nuts M10 (2+2).
Tightening torque = 40 Nm for M10
12.) Insert hexagon bolts M10x25 with washers 10,5x21x2 at 'b' and 'c'. At 'c' fit fishplate 11
(with nut) and tighten hexagon bolt.
Tightening torque = 40 Nm for M10
13.) Insert hexagon bolts M10x55 with spacer 7 at 9 and tighten securing nuts M10.
Tightening torque = 40 Nm +/-5% for M10
Note: Bodywork may be slightly deformed in area 'X'.
14a) Screw on towbar / mounting pipe 12 at 'd' with hexagon bolts M12x90, washers
13x24x2,5 and socket holder (version A).
Tightening torque = 95 Nm
14b) Screw on towbar 13 with fishplates 14 at 'd' with hexagon bolts M12x90, washers
13x24x2,5 and socket holder (version B).
Tightening torque = 95 Nm
15.) Clean luggage compartment and reinstall removed components.
