The profile cutting carriage allows for
fast and easy cutting of u-sections and
embossments on the surfaces of insulati-
on blocks (Fig. 4).
U-sections are cut when, e.g., you need
to route cable ducts over facades. When
installing the profile blade, take the width
of (e.g.) the cable duct into consideration
and shape the blade accordingly.
Embossments are cut out of the surface
of the installed insulation block. To do
this, shape the profile blade to the desired
shape (round, trapezoid, rectangular, etc.)
and depth.
2. You can use tin snips or wire cutters to
trim the blade if needed.
Warning: Careful during trimming - the blade is sharp on one side. Risk of
injury!

Care and Maintenance

Regular use of the HotKnife 250 will cause residual material to stick to the blade and
the blade holder. These residues can cause imprecise cutting and impair electrical con-
ductivity and the performance of the blade. Clean the brush in warm state using the
brass brush provided and no other cleaning tools or agents.
Warning: Do not press the trigger while the blade is in contact with the
brass brush - this can lead to a short-circuit and failure of the device.
