Description
A protective cover is available as accessory. The protective cover is
stuck on the visor and protects it from scratches, paint particles and dust.

Functional description

The Dräger X-plore
8000
respiratory protective devices. It makes the breathing air available that
is fed through the respiratory protective device.
The breathing air is supplied through a breathing hose on the back of
the hood. The breathing air flows over the back of the user's head to
the front. The resulting overpressure prevents polluted ambient air
from penetrating.
2.3
Intended use
The hoods are designed as facepieces for use with the Dräger
X-plore 8000 powered air purifying respirator and the Dräger X-plore
9300 air line breathing apparatus.
2.4
Limitations on use
The protective effect can be impaired by the following factors:
high wind velocities and strong crosswind
earpieces or beards under the face cuff
2.5
Approvals
The hoods comply with directive 89/686/EEC on personal protective
equipment. Refer to the Instructions for Use of the respiratory
protection systems specified in section 2.3 for information on the
corresponding system approvals.
The hoods themselves are approved according to EN 166: 2002-04.
