Safety Symbols used in these Instructions for Use
While reading these Instructions for Use, you will come across a number of warnings concerning
some of the risks and dangers you may face while using the device. These warnings contain "signal"
words that will alert you to the degree of hazard you may encounter. These signal words and the asso-
ciated dangers are specified as follows:
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if no safety precautions are taken, could result in
death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in physical injury to
you, or damage to the product.
It may also be used to alert against unsafe practices.

Description/Intended Use
According to EN 12941:1998 resp. EN 12942:1998, the power-assisted filtering devices

Dräger X-plore
7300/7500 are part of a power-assisted filtering system which consists of the
following components:
— battery pack and battery charger
— belt
— Dräger respiratory filter
— corrugated hose
— facepiece
The electronic warning device is used for continuous air stream monitoring. It indicates if the Dräger
particle filter is saturated and whether the battery is still sufficiently charged.
Dräger X-plore 7300 provides protection against solid and liquid particles.
Do not use the Dräger X-plore 7300 in the presence of toxic gases and vapors – danger of intoxica-
tion!
Dräger X-plore 7500 provides protection against solid and liquid particles, as well as against vapors
and gases when fitted with the corresponding filter.
Strictly follow the relevant Instructions for Use of the Dräger respiratory filter.
The power-assisted filtering devices X-plore 7300/7500 have been tested and approved in combina-
tion with the Dräger X-plore helmets/hoods/visors and the Dräger half mask X-plore 4740 as well as
the Dräger full face masks X-plore 6300/6500 in accordance with EN 12941:1998, EN 12942:1998
and the PPE Directive 89/686/EEC.
