The electrodes should not be applied to the anterior wall of the thorax, i.e. never

7. Application
7.1 Advice on application
• If the machine is not used within 2 minutes, it switches off automatically (au-
tomatic switch-off function). When the unit is switched on again, the LCD
screen displays the menu selection and the most recently used menu flashes.
• If an admissible key is pressed, there is one short beep. If an inadmissible
key is pressed, there are two short beeps.
• You can pause the stimulation at any time by briefly pressing the ON/OFF
button
. To continue the stimulation, briefly press the ON/OFF button
again and set the desired impulse intensity again.
7.2 Procedure for programs TENS 1–7, EMS 1–27 and
MASSAGE 1–10 (quick start)
• Select a suitable program from the program tables (p. 23–27).
• Place the electrodes on the desired area for treatment (for positioning sug-
gestions see electrode positions, p. 2) and connect them to the device.
