lisa system introduction
An alerting system requires at least
one transmitter and a receiver. The
transmitter captures signals and
transforms them into digital signals
that are passed to a receiver by the
existing mains electricity supply. The
receiver then transforms these digital
signals into light signals.
Channel selection
A digital transmission system ensures
the correct recognition of each of the
digital signals from each transmitter.
The system has 10 different selecta-
ble channels, 0-9. The factory setting
for all lisa devices is channel 0. Only
where more than one installation is
required in the same building will it be
necessary to select a different chan-
nel for each system.
To select a channel, turn the rotary
switch on the underside of the trans-
mitter to the required channel number
using a small screwdriver.
Example:
Set channel
number 0
Person call button
Pressing this button causes a certain
flash sequence on each receiver. It is
possible to call people in other rooms
this way. This button also allows the
lisa system to be tested without any
connecting cables.
Duration of flashing signals
The factory setting for the duration of
the flash is 28 seconds for all lisa
receivers. However, you can reduce
this to 8 seconds if you wish.
To change the flash duration for a par-
ticular transmitter, remove the transmit-
ter from the mains socket and, while
pressing in the person call button, plug
the transmitter back into the socket. To
switch back to 28 seconds remove the
transmitter from the socket and plug
back in again this time without pres-
sing the person call button.
