3.3 TRANSPORT OF PACKAGING
CAUTION
Never dispose of the packaging waste in the environ-
ment. The disposal of waste must be in compliance
with the regulations in force in the country where the
machine is installed.
The machine can be delivered wrapped in a plastic film.
NOTE
UPON DELIVERY, CHECK (VISUALLY WITH THE CARRIER) THE
PERFECT CONDITION OF THE PACKAGING. FURNISH PROOF
AND REPORT ANY FOUND ANOMALIES TO THE MANUFACTU-
RER.
If the machine must be transported over a long distance, it
can be loaded on a truck or railway car.
Once the machine has been moved on to the truck or wa-
gon, make sure that it remains blocked in position.
Fix the machine firmly to the surface on which it rests.
After transport and before freeing the machine check the
solidity of the packaging and the position of the machine.
Remove the fastening systems of the load. Unload the ma-
chine following the handling operations.
3.4 STORAGE
Storing wrapped machines must be done in places pro-
tected from bad weather and sun. Storage time must be
limited to the strict minimum; for machine wrapped in pla-
stic film the storage time is 12 months whereas the ones
protected with a plastic sheet, storage time must be limited
to the minimum (EU or neighbouring countries). For further
information regarding storage time and methods contact
the Manufacturer After-Sales service. The Manufacturer
does not guarantee the condition of the content for periods
of time longer than the recommended ones.
4 INSTALLATION
4.1 SAFETY WARNINGS

DANGER
For transport needs, the safety guards may have been
removed from the machine. Upon delivery of the ma-
chine the user will have to proceed with their proper
fitting tightening properly the fastening elements (see
"4.2.1 Fitting PTO guards").
Never use the machine without any of the guards provi-
ded for and delivered.

4.2 ASSEMBLING THE MACHINE
The machine may be delivered with the roller disassem-
bled from the supports and hitched with iron clamps (1,
"Fig. 9") on the machine.

To release the roller and prepare it to be fitted onto the
machine proceed as follows:
• Secure the roller with the appropriate hoisting straps ha-
ving a minimum capacity equal to the roller weight (for
weights, see paragraph"3.2.2 Handling accessories").
