Lift the machine with the utmost care and move it slowly
without jolting on to the truck or railway car. The surface
on to which the machine is to be loaded must be perfectly
horizontal, to prevent the load from shifting.
If the machine has been placed on a wooden pallet, use
a forklift to handle the pallet. The forklift forks must be as
distant as possible from each other.
3.2.2
HANDLING ACCESSORIES
Accessories with a weight less than 44 lbs can be handled
by a single operator. The rollers must be handled with a
crane and lifting straps("Fig. 7"). Fix two hoisting shackles,
one on each side. Insert the shackle pin in the hole of the
roller holder plate("Fig. 7"). Hitch the lifting straps.
Lift the roller of few centimetres. Check the roller balance
.
CAUTION
Crash risk. The roller is fitted on freely rotating suppor-
ts. Connect a strap to the centre of the roller.
